Frequently Asked Questions Continued

Once a trade line is removed can it come back?
Yes, but this happens very rarely. There are two laws by which the bureaus and the original creditors must abide. One is the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which monitors the three credit bureaus, and the other is the Fair Credit Billing Act, which monitors the original creditors. Once a trade line is removed, the FCBA gives the original creditor 30 days to prove the basis for the negative trade line to place it back on the report. The credit bureau MUST then by law send the client a letter stating that the negative trade line is being placed back on his or her report. In reality the three credit bureaus never do send this letter which makes it easy for the client to remove the trade line for good.

DELETION PERCENTAGE:
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) states that dispute letters sent out by any third party on behalf of the consumer can be considered frivolous and may be discarded by the credit bureaus. The law further states that if a consumer disputes the accuracy of his or her credit report, it MUST be investigated within 30 days OR the disputed item(s) must be deleted. Most credit repair companies do not have their clients send their own letters; instead these companies send the letters on their clients’ behalf. The credit bureaus disallow many of these disputes because the letters were not sent by the consumer. With our software, you print the letters from your own personal computer and mail yourself. This guarantees the source and improves our results.

If the negative trade line is really mine can I dispute it?
Yes. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act a consumer can dispute the accuracy of any trade line if they question the validity of the account whether it be due to the pay history, balance or terms. Most of our clients do not know how many times they may have been late. Disputing the accuracy is a way to ensure sure that the three credit bureaus and the original creditors are reporting the correct dates and information.

How long will it take for my credit score to increase?
It will increase immediately. Once a negative trade line is removed the credit report, the following month the credit is rescored without that negative trade line. Your score will continue to increase long after the letters are sent if you continue to follow our directions.

Why shouldn’t I pull my credit report during the process?
The process is exactly what it states...a process. Every time that you pull your credit you lose points.
